MY STORY
WHY I DO WHAT I DO
Two weeks before my 19th birthday, a call changed my life forever. My Dad passed away suddenly, without warning or goodbyes.
I vividly remember trying to cling to memories of him—his voice, his scent, and how he made me feel.
I remembered being snuggled in his arms as a child, hearing him say, “I love you my little possum, don’t ever change.” Desperate for tangible proof of his love, I searched for photos of us.
I found only a handful, including one of us dancing at my cousin’s wedding. To this day, that image is my lifeline to him, a visual echo of his loving presence in my life.
This is why I create images that capture connection, vulnerability, and emotion. I aim to create photographs that transport you back to special moments with your loved ones.This life changing experience is the heartbeat of my work. When I create images for you, I’m not just taking pictures – I’m preserving feelings, capturing the invisible threads that bind us to those we love. Every click of my camera is driven by the knowledge that one day, these images might be all that remains.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I love living a creative life
I have always had a love for art and photography. I left school in year 10 and went to art school to pursue my dream of becoming a photographer. It took me a little while to get there, but I never gave up on my dream.
Creativity is a big part of my world, not only in my work but also in my daily life. I love to draw, I crochet, and I love to photograph my own family. There is nothing better than a slow day at home, the sun beaming through the window, stitching or sketching away with the sounds of laughter coming from the kids playing outside, and a glass of wine in hand.
I have always been an introvert, but I really come to life when I’m connecting with the gorgeous families that I photograph. I love hearing their stories, their backgrounds, and their traditions. I love being witness to their vulnerability, to their tenderness and their love. It is such an honour to be trusted with these moments and creating the space to watch them come to life.
